When I asked the bears to pose for the new banner photo there was a bit of a kerfuffle.
Teddy asked me, “Are you sure it’s safe? Remember what happened to humpty dumpty.”The little one squeaked “That’s easy, I can sit on the fence. There’s plenty of room for me.”
The hephalump pronounced “The fence is a good place to watch out for the wild animals and make sure they don’t eat you.”
Another one wanted to know, “Are you sure it’s OK? I don’t want to get a splinter in my bottom.”
The wise one lectured me on the politics of fence setting and how we should take a stand on the issue, not prevaricate.
Finally, Bobby suggested that the fence was a good place to watch the people at the beach eating their icecreams. This gave him an idea, “Do you think that maybe we could have an icecream too?”
So I promised them all an icecream if they would just sit still while I took the photo and everyone was happy.
